We are seeking YOUR stories about wearing red;
anything red…red heels, a red dress, red nail polish, or
red lipstick. The story might be your story, or it could
convey your friends, daughters, mothers, or grandmothers
experiences about wearing red (with their permission, of
course). It may simply impart some sage advice or wisdom
you’ve gleaned along the way about the power of red.
Helen C. has already submitted her story! We
initially requested your submissions in our May issue of
“Kick Up Your Heels!” based on the monthly topic about
the power of red. You responded. And we were thrilled!
So we decided it would be fun to have a contest to
encourage more submissions. Helen’s story was the very
first one submitted; and therefore, gets the honor of
being published in our June issue of “Kick Up Your
Heels!” Be sure to look for it. We’ll be publishing more
throughout the year.
Plan to participate in My Red Heel Story contest! The
contest will run from now until the end of August. And
the winner will receive a $50 gift certificate good
toward any items in the Red Heel Boutique, our online

Send in your submissions. Capture the essence of the
experience, the moment, or the situation. Construct a
paragraph or a short story about your experience. Share
the lesson, the wisdom or memorable point to it. And
send it to with My Red Heel
Story in the subject line.

experience, or idea related to your experience
of wearing red.
Your submission indicates that you give
Chicks in Red Heels permission to edit, print
and publish your material in written or
electronic formats.
Chicks in Red Heels retains the copyright on
submitted material, and guarantees attribution
to the author.
Submissions will be reviewed for
appropriateness and value to the community. We
respectfully reserve the right to accept or
decline any submission.
